Murata Manufacturing, the world’s largest capacitor maker, raised its operating profit forecast to 380 billion yen for fiscal year 2027, representing a 34.8% increase from the prior year. The company, which controls approximately 40% of the global multilayer ceramic capacitor (MLCC) market, is operating at 95% production capacity. President Norio Nakajima, however, warned that the current pace of global technology infrastructure spending cannot be sustained, citing intensifying competition among hyperscalers and rising debt levels across the industry. For the fiscal year ended April 2026, Murata reported operating profit of 281.8 billion yen and revenue of 1.83 trillion yen.
