Bitcoin ETFs just broke a brutal $500M losing streak, but the entire recovery is an illusion propped up by BlackRock

U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs snapped a four-session losing streak on July 29 with $32.1 million in net inflows. However, this performance masks a troubling reality: the only fund to generate positive flows was BlackRock’s IBIT with $89.8 million in inflows, which offset $43.1 million in outflows from Fidelity’s FBTC and $14.6 million from ARK 21Shares’ ARKB. All other listed funds showed zero net flow, meaning the market’s positive total depended entirely on one product. The four preceding sessions had cumulatively generated $526 million in net outflows, leaving the five-session period still $494 million in the red.
