Gemini, a regulated exchange, now supports direct shielded Zcash withdrawals to the Ironwood pool, becoming one of the first regulated platforms to offer this feature. The move comes two days after Zcash’s NU6.3 network upgrade activated Ironwood and permanently sealed the previous Orchard pool, which had a known counterfeiting vulnerability. The Orchard pool held approximately $1.7 billion worth of ZEC that must be migrated through a turnstile mechanism to the new, secure pool. On its first day, Ironwood received 176,000 ZEC, worth roughly $80 to $81 million, indicating user confidence in continuing to use Zcash’s privacy features.
