Google DeepMind has released Gemini Robotics 2.0, a new AI robotics platform built on the Gemini 2.0 foundation that provides robots with vision-language-action capabilities for whole-body intelligence. The platform introduces enhanced dexterity for complex manipulation tasks, long-horizon planning for extended autonomous operations, and seamless coordination between different robotic embodiments. Gemini Robotics ER 2 is now publicly accessible to developers through Google AI Studio. Google has confirmed partnerships with Apptronronik, Boston Dynamics, and Agile Robots for the development of humanoid and other robotic systems. While the announcement contains no blockchain component, multi-robot coordination across different owners could eventually require decentralized trust and verification protocols.
