FIFA has unveiled a partial privatization plan for its commercial activities, including TV rights and sponsorship, within a new entity called FIFA Forward Enterprise, valued at $20 billion. The controversy stems from the potential involvement of Joshua Kushner, brother of Jared Kushner and son-in-law of Donald Trump, through his fund Thrive Eternal. UEFA has strongly condemned the lack of transparency and threatens a historic boycott of the World Cup, a scenario that would have been unthinkable just a year ago. Reports from the Times of London indicate that Gianni Infantino himself consulted the Trump administration before the official presentation of the project.
