Investment management giant Vanguard has increased its stake in Bitcoin treasury company Strive Asset Management, acquiring an additional 269,200 shares through its Vanguard Total Stock Market Index Fund (VTSAX). This new purchase brings the fund’s total holdings to approximately 1.98 million shares, worth roughly $23.7 million. In early 2024, under then-CEO Tim Buckley, Vanguard had refused to offer spot Bitcoin ETFs to its clients, before reversing this ban in late 2025 and appointing Salim Ramji, a former BlackRock executive who helped launch the spot Bitcoin ETF IBIT, as its new CEO. The firm also posted a job opening in July for its first-ever Head of Digital Assets for Personal Wealth.
