GrubMarket Inc., a San Francisco-based food supply chain platform, has confidentially filed for a US initial public offering. Founded in 2014 by CEO Mike Xu, the company has completed 60 acquisitions, including Coast Citrus Distributors and Procurant in 2025, and uses AI agents for inventory management and operations. The company raised $50 million in a Series H funding round in 2025, valuing it at approximately $4.5 billion. In February 2026, GrubMarket agreed to pay an $8 million civil penalty in a settlement with the SEC over overstated revenues between 2019 and 2021. The key question for investors is whether public markets will value GrubMarket at, above, or below its $4.5 billion private valuation.
