Securitize Corp. (NYSE : SECZ) announced that its subsidiary Securitize Capital LLC is now registered with the US SEC as an investment adviser, with registration effective July 22. This registration lifts the size restrictions that applied under the previous exempt reporting adviser status, allowing the Miami-based entity to advise funds without limitation on assets under management. The registration completes Securitize’s regulatory offering around tokenized securities, which now includes an SEC-registered investment adviser, an SEC-registered broker-dealer operating a regulated alternative trading system (Securitize Markets), a transfer agent and a fund administrator. Separately, Citi initiated coverage of the stock with a Buy rating and a $10 price target, implying approximately 34% upside from Friday’s closing price of $7.47.
