MoonPay announced a partnership with Tempo, a payments blockchain incubated by Paradigm and Stripe, to integrate USDC.E and PATHUSD stablecoins into its on-ramp, off-ramp, and virtual account services. This collaboration enables users to convert traditional currencies like dollars and euros directly into digital assets on the Tempo network without using a centralized exchange or bridge. USDC.E is a variant of Circle’s USDC adapted for the Ethereum environment, while PATHUSD is Tempo’s native stablecoin designed as the primary settlement asset on the network. Tempo recently launched its public testnet and distinguishes itself with gas fees payable in stablecoins and an integrated decentralized exchange function. Tempo, backed by major players like Paradigm and Stripe, aims to target real-world payment use cases, including merchant settlements, international payroll, and cross-border transfers.
