Bitcoin dropped below $100,000 following these strikes, triggering over $700 million in liquidations on digital asset markets. The US Treasury Department froze approximately $130 million in assets connected to Iranian cryptocurrency exchanges, with Iran’s domestic digital asset ecosystem valued at over $7.8 billion. These actions are exerting growing structural pressure on the use of cryptocurrencies to evade sanctions.
