France and Germany have selected French company ChapsVision over Palantir to power their intelligence agencies, marking a strategic shift toward local technology solutions across Europe. ChapsVision generated 200 million euros in revenue in 2025, compared to 4.5 billion dollars for Palantir over the same period, a revenue gap of roughly 22 to 1. France’s DGSI domestic intelligence agency had renewed its contract with Palantir in December 2025 before announcing in June the transition to ChapsVision. On July 17, France and Germany jointly committed to developing homegrown alternatives to US intelligence platforms. For investors, the immediate financial impact remains limited since the DGSI contract represents a small fraction of Palantir’s revenue base, but a domino effect across the EU’s 27 member states could meaningfully shrink Palantir’s addressable market on the continent.
