Binance tests its employees monthly with simulated phishing emails as part of an internal red team operation that has been running for over three years. According to an AMLBot report, approximately 65% of all crypto security incidents in 2025 resulted from social engineering attacks. Employees who fall for the simulations must undergo remedial training, with repeated failures leading to impacts on performance ratings and ultimately dismissal. The exchange, which manages approximately $137.7 billion in assets under management for 323 million registered users, says the program has meaningfully improved its security hygiene according to Chief Security Officer Jimmy Su.
