SpaceX’s Starship test successfully reaches space, deploys satellites after record-breaking IPO

SpaceX successfully completed the thirteenth test flight of its Starship rocket on July 24 from Starbase, Texas, marking the first Starship mission since its record-breaking IPO in June. The flight deployed 20 operational Starlink V3 satellites, the first fully functional V3 variants ever carried by Starship. The company achieved several technical milestones, including the relighting of its Raptor engines in space and what it described as its softest splashdown to date in the Indian Ocean. SpaceX raised approximately 86 billion dollars during this IPO, making it the largest in history. Starlink V3 satellites promise significantly enhanced speed and capacity to expand high-bandwidth internet to areas where traditional infrastructure does not exist.
