Arbitrum will capture 10% of fees from the Robinhood Chain and any other Layer 2 built on its Orbit technology stack. Steven Goldfeder, co-founder of Offchain Labs, specified that 8% of this share will go to the Arbitrum treasury controlled by token holders, while 2% will fund development. The Robinhood Chain, an Ethereum Layer 2 built on this stack, launched its mainnet on July 1 with tokenized stocks, on-chain lending, and agentic trading. This arrangement gives ARB a direct claim on fee volume generated outside Arbitrum’s own network, representing a structural shift from a chain that previously monetized only its own base-layer activity.
