Strategy, BlackRock form Bitcoin Security Consortium to prepare for quantum computing threat

Nine companies, including Strategy and BlackRock, have formed a Bitcoin security consortium with 15 million dollars in funding. This consortium aims to finance post-quantum cryptography research. The goal is to protect the Bitcoin network against the threat of quantum computing. This initiative brings together major players from the financial and cryptocurrency industries to address the potential vulnerabilities that quantum computers could pose to current cryptographic systems.
