90% of the World’s Businesses Face the Biggest Hormuz Risk, UN Report Finds

The UN Trade and Development agency reveals that 90% of the world’s businesses are exposed to risks related to the Strait of Hormuz. Disruptions in this strategic area could push small businesses out of global value chains, even after trade volumes recover. The agency calls this phenomenon the « exclusion effect ». Companies that cannot spread their costs across multiple suppliers, markets, and lenders are the hardest hit.
