7 Bitcoin addresses wake up after more than 16 years of dormancy

Seven Bitcoin addresses containing 50 BTC each, mined in March 2010, have come back to life after more than 16 years of inactivity. These seven wallets represent a total of approximately 28 million dollars at the current Bitcoin price, against a few cents of dollars at their creation when the BTC price was below 0.01 dollar. This operation represents a surreal return of 800 million percent over the period. This awakening is part of a current trend of multiplication of transfers from dormant Bitcoin addresses, including a transfer of nearly 6,000 BTC estimated at 380 million dollars last July. Some observers raise the hypothesis of a possible quantum attack or unauthorized access to these historical wallets.
