Trust Stamp, an AI-powered biometric identity company listed on Nasdaq under ticker IDAI, has been selected as a direct participant in IPCEI AST, Europe’s advanced semiconductor initiative backed by over 3 billion euros in public funding coordinated by Germany. The company’s Malta subsidiary, supported by Malta Enterprise, will develop biometric identity binding that cryptographically links a verified human identity to a semiconductor device. This technology aims to enhance security at the hardware level by creating an unfalsifiable link between a person and a chip, beyond vulnerable software-based authentication methods. The company is also exploring authentication methods for brain-computer interfaces. Operating primarily in financial and government sectors, Trust Stamp could benefit from state aid under this program, reducing its funding needs during long development cycles.
