Ross Gerber, a longtime Bitcoin investor and prominent Tesla bull, announced he no longer takes Bitcoin seriously due to the involvement of Michael Saylor, Strategy co-founder. Gerber repeatedly criticized Strategy’s business model, which uses debt and capital market transactions to accumulate BTC before starting to sell them. He also linked Bitcoin’s underperformance to Saylor’s influence on the market. In March 2025, Business Insider reported that Gerber had sold most of his Bitcoin holdings and invested some of the proceeds into gold.
