Strait of Hormuz closure persists amid Iran-US tensions: IRIB

The Persian Gulf Waterways Management Authority has confirmed that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed until Iran’s conditions are satisfied. Tehran is demanding the cessation of US military pressure, the lifting of sanctions, and compensation for war damages. This closure of one of the world’s most crucial energy transit routes follows the Iran-US-Israel conflict from earlier this year. The likelihood of a US-Iran agreement by August 15 has dropped from 9% to 5.1% in just 24 hours, while the odds of a resolution by August 31 fell from 29% to 20.5%.
