SK Hynix and Samsung Electronics have signed memory chip supply agreements worth a combined 950 billion dollars with US tech companies Nvidia and Broadcom. SK Hynix will supply 750 billion dollars worth of high-bandwidth memory chips primarily to Nvidia, while Samsung will contribute 200 billion dollars in chip supply to Broadcom. These agreements, which may represent the largest semiconductor supply commitment in history, underscore the sustained demand for AI infrastructure. An estimated 80 to 90 percent of Korea’s semiconductor expansion plans are being driven by US demand.
