Samsung announced at its Galaxy Unpacked event in London on July 22 that its Samsung Wallet mobile application will support stablecoins, making it one of the first major mobile brands to bring native stablecoin functionality to smartphones. No launch date, issuers, or partners were disclosed, though a stage demo showed Circle’s USDC without a confirmed partnership. Total stablecoin supply stands at approximately $307.6 billion and USDC processed a record $1.21 trillion in adjusted transaction volume in June, according to DefiLlama. Samsung has been involved in crypto since 2019 and embedded Coinbase One into its Wallet in October 2025 for over 75 million US users. The announcement comes as neither Apple Pay nor Google Wallet offers native stablecoin support.
