Russian diesel exports fall to multiyear low in early August

Share

Russian diesel and gasoil exports Plummeted to approximately 80,000 barrels per day in early August 2026, the lowest level in Several Years, after Surpassing 1 million barrels per day in late 2025. Ukrainian Drone Strikes Targeting Refining Infrastructure Have Halved Russia’s Refining Capacity, Forcing Moscow to Impose Export Restrictions on Fuel Products. From June to August, Diesel Loadings Successively Collapsed from 400,000 to 234,000 then 80,000 barrels per day, Compared to a 2025 Average of 817,000 barrels per day. This Substantial Loss of Volume Creates a Supply Crunch in Global Markets, Benefiting Refiners in India, South Korea, the Middle East, and the US Gulf Coast.
