AI infrastructure on the XRP Ledger has entered the stage of real commercial traffic, with the t54.ai platform recording 1,433,836 bot-only transactions, proving that AI agents now use the blockchain as a settlement layer to purchase technical services. These programs pay autonomously via the x402 micropayment protocol using XRP tokens and RLUSD stablecoins, with transaction confirmations in 3-5 seconds and negligible fixed fees. Their purchases include trading data, information services, social media APIs, and inference requests starting from 0.003 RLUSD per micro-request, with the inference category growing fastest. According to RippleX Head of Engineering Ayo Akinyele, the market already encompasses around one hundred connected online stores, and AI agents will soon be able to search for discounts and order real products for their owners.
