RippleX engineering head J. Ayo Akinyele has publicly urged Elon Musk to add Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin to X Money, suggesting that XRP could follow if Musk pays attention to the request. X Money, the financial service recently launched by X in the United States, allows users to store funds and make real-time peer-to-peer transfers via an X-branded Visa debit card. Ripple has positioned RLUSD as payment infrastructure and has formed strategic partnerships with Mastercard, WebBank and Gemini to expand its institutional payment use cases. However, adding cryptocurrencies or stablecoins to X Money does not appear plausible in the near term, especially since Musk has not included his beloved Dogecoin during the X Money rollout.
