Ripple Veteran Schwartz Reacts to Failed Bitcoin Fork

David Schwartz, XRP Ledger architect and Ripple veteran, sharply criticized Bitcoin Knots for labeling a Bitcoin soft fork failure as an attack. The BIP-110 fork failed to activate, causing a chain split at block 961,632. The main Bitcoin chain continued operating normally while the minority BIP-110 chain fell dramatically behind, producing blocks at intervals of several hours instead of the normal 10 minutes. Bitcoin Knots has remained defiant and announced plans to select a new proof-of-work algorithm through a deterministic random process.
