Ripple has invested in Notabene, a regulated on-chain transaction network, to expand its RLUSD stablecoin usage in institutional payments. RLUSD will be integrated into Notabene Flow, Notabene’s B2B payments platform, which serves 2,300 institutions across over 100 jurisdictions and supports more than $2 trillion in annualized transaction volume. The two companies will explore how Notabene’s transaction authorization and compliance infrastructure can complement Ripple Payments. Jack McDonald, SVP of stablecoin at Ripple, emphasized that settlement rail efficiency alone is not sufficient to ensure full mainstream adoption of stablecoins by institutions. Notabene CEO Pelle Braendgaard said institutions have moved beyond evaluating whether to use stablecoins and are now focused on implementing them in a compliant manner.
