Polymarket, a crypto prediction market platform, has hired Travis VanderZanden as its chief growth officer. VanderZanden, founder of e-scooter startup Bird and former senior executive at Uber and Lyft, brings extensive blitzscaling experience from the mobility sector. The platform is preparing for a surge in trading activity around the NFL season and US midterm elections. It is currently under a CFTC investigation into its marketing practices and launched a separate US exchange in May 2026. Polymarket is also seeking a funding round that would value the company at more than $20 billion.
