Nvidia is in advanced talks to invest approximately $1 billion in Lancium, a Texas-based energy infrastructure developer, which would give the chipmaker roughly a 30% stake in the company. The deal could value Lancium between $7 billion and $14 billion. Founded in 2017 as a Bitcoin mining operation using renewable energy, Lancium pivoted to developing grid-connected gigawatt-scale Clean Campuses purpose-built for AI infrastructure. The company is developing the Stargate Abilene campus, designed to house up to 400,000 Nvidia GPUs across eight buildings, and has announced a new 1 GW campus in Childress, Texas. Blackstone previously invested over $500 million in Lancium in November 2024.
