Michael Saylor strongly criticized the BIP-110 proposal, stating that this Bitcoin fork failed to gain community support. Approximately 99.85% of Bitcoin’s hashpower remained loyal to the main network, while the BIP-110 branch generated only two blocks before falling more than 80 blocks behind. Saylor noted that supporters would need to mine approximately 2,015 more blocks before their first difficulty adjustment, which could take about 25 years. Dan Held, General Partner at Asymmetric Financial, also condemned BIP-110 for wasting developer time and effort, calling it technically defective and game theoretically flawed.
