Strategy, formerly MicroStrategy, has not acquired a single Bitcoin since late June, marking four weeks of pause, the longest buying drought since 2024. The company has nevertheless continued selling shares, generating 263.5 million dollars between July 13 and July 19 alone, and now holds 3.225 billion dollars in cash reserves. The last purchase was on June 22 with 520 BTC acquired at an average price of 67,068 dollars per coin. Analytics firm CryptoQuant had recommended pausing acquisitions in late June due to unrealized losses on the existing portfolio. Strategy currently holds approximately 843,775 BTC and has chosen to stack cash rather than sats for the first time in a meaningful stretch.
