The McKinsey Global Institute’s Global Balance Sheet 2026 report reveals that global households accumulated $40 trillion in wealth in 2025, bringing total net worth to $570 trillion. This 7.3% increase surpassed the 5.9% average annual growth rate observed since 2000. US and Canadian equity valuations drove most of this growth, while real estate declined in China, France, and Germany. Notably, the report makes no mention of crypto, Bitcoin, or digital assets whatsoever.
