MARA sold 23,093 BTC for approximately $1.63 billion in the first half of 2026, at an average price of $70,631 per unit. This sale comes as its mining revenues declined by nearly 23% year-over-year, dropping from $452.4 million to $349.5 million in the first half. The company used the proceeds to reduce its debt from $3.6 billion to approximately $2.4 billion and fund the acquisition of Exaion, a specialist in secure cloud computing and artificial intelligence. MARA still holds 35,577 BTC, valued at over $2 billion, and plans to acquire Long Ridge, which owns a 485 MW power plant, to continue its diversification into AI without abandoning mining.
