Luke Dashjr, a Bitcoin developer, has been removed as an editor of Bitcoin Improvement Proposals (BIP). Mark Erhardt, another Bitcoin developer, opened the removal pull request on Sunday, citing concerns over Dashjr’s involvement in BIP 110 and his alleged bias as an editor. BIP 110 was a proposal to restrict arbitrary data in Bitcoin transactions, but it triggered a minority chain split that failed to gain sufficient hashpower support. Jon Atack verified and merged the pull request, stripping Dashjr of his editor and administrator privileges in the BIPs repository. Dashjr called the decision an abuse of power by Core.
