Kenya Places Over 30 Million Diplomas on the Avalanche Blockchain

Kenya’s National Examination Council has registered over 30 million academic diplomas and certificates on the Avalanche blockchain to combat document fraud. The platform enables employers, universities and administrations to verify a diploma’s authenticity in seconds, compared to several weeks previously. It covers national exams, university degrees and teacher qualifications dating back to 1989, with a target of 35 million verified records. The deployment relies on a local technology provider, but the actual adoption rate by Kenyan stakeholders remains unknown at this stage.
