Interbank, one of Peru’s largest banks, has signed a direct enterprise agreement with Anthropic to integrate Claude AI into its banking operations. The bank becomes the first Peruvian financial institution to establish this type of direct relationship with Anthropic, bypassing the intermediaries typically used in the region. The initial deployment targets a selected group of employees, primarily knowledge workers and technology teams, accompanied by structured training programs. The stated goal is to make AI a foundational capability embedded throughout the bank’s operations, from customer-facing services to internal workflows.
