Hadrian Automation closed a $1.37 billion Series D round, valuing the defense manufacturing startup at $7.87 billion, up from roughly $1.6 billion previously. The round, closed on August 6, was co-led by WCM Investment Management, Washington Harbour Partners, Valor Equity Partners, 137 Ventures, and Baillie Gifford, with JPMorgan also reportedly involved. Total funding now exceeds $1.9 billion. The company is pouring capital into expanding its manufacturing footprint, which has grown to nearly 3 million square feet, and advancing its Opus AI platform. Hadrian manufactures precision components for rockets, satellites, and naval systems, and CEO Chris Power has outlined plans to build between 10 and 20 mega factories.
