Goldman Sachs has agreed to acquire NEOS Investments in a deal worth up to $2.25 billion, bringing Bitcoin and Ethereum income ETFs into its portfolio. The transaction, in cash and equity, will add three products: the Neos Bitcoin High Income ETF, the Boosted Bitcoin High Income ETF, and the Ethereum High Income ETF. NEOS manages roughly $30 billion across 19 ETFs using options strategies to generate monthly income. Combined with Goldman Sachs’ existing $40 billion in income-oriented, options-based ETFs, this acquisition will push its active ETF business to approximately $80 billion, making Goldman Sachs the eighth-largest active ETF manager according to Morningstar. The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2027, pending regulatory approval.
