The dispute centers on stablecoin yield provisions, with commercial and community banks warning of potential deposit flight and impact on local lending. Goldman Sachs has disclosed a $1.1 billion position in a spot bitcoin ETF. A Senate vote is expected in the coming week, with the bill having passed the House in July 2025 and advanced through the Senate Banking Committee in a 15-9 vote in May.
