ETFs accounted for approximately 22% of Gen Z’s net equity inflows in July, compared with 18.5% in June, according to Binance Research. Overall net equity deployment fell 17.4% during the month, but ETF inflows declined by only 2%. Gen Z was the only generation in the study to record growth in ETF holders, with an increase of nearly 3%. The trading behavior of this cohort proved more disciplined than expected: one in five direct-equity accounts has never sold, and 99% of accounts recorded no leveraged or inverse ETF activity.
