A former BNB Chain employee deployed the ASTEROID token on BNB Chain, acquiring 796.7 million tokens representing 79.67% of the total supply for approximately $10,000. They then sold 718.8 million of those tokens for 1,103 BNB, generating a profit of between $628,000 and $638,000. Trading volume exceeded $20 million before the price crashed by over 50% in just 20 minutes. BNB Chain stated it has no affiliation with ASTEROID and initiated legal action against the former employee.
