Dartmouth College’s endowment saw its cryptocurrency holdings decline from $14 million to $12 million, a $2 million drop driven by market volatility. The institution holds three crypto ETF positions: the Bitwise Solana Staking ETF (BSOL), BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin ETF (IBIT), and Grayscale’s Ethereum Staking ETF (ETHE), the latter having been converted from a standard Ethereum position into a staking variant. With a total endowment of $9 billion, crypto exposure represents approximately 0.13% of the portfolio. Dartmouth posted a 10.8% return in fiscal year 2025, while Harvard, another Ivy League member, moved in the opposite direction by reducing its Bitcoin exposure and exiting Ethereum positions entirely.
