ChangXin Memory Technologies, China’s largest DRAM maker, has completed R&D verification for its LPDDR6 memory chips with a design speed of 12.8 Gbps, putting them on par with products from Samsung, SK Hynix, and Micron. The company’s Q1 2026 revenue reached approximately $7.5 billion, representing a year-over-year increase of over 700%. CXMT’s market share in the global DRAM market grew to around 8% in Q1 2026, up from 3% the previous year, making it the world’s fourth-largest DRAM maker. The company recently went public on the Shanghai STAR Market, raising approximately $8.55 billion, with shares surging over 466% on their debut day. Major Chinese smartphone brands including Xiaomi, OPPO, and Vivo are already sourcing CXMT’s memory chips, and Western firms like Apple are reportedly beginning to show interest.
