A crypto whale lost $25.6 million in a hack targeting its WBTC, cbBTC, LDO, USDS, and CRV assets, swapped for DAI and ETH. The same wallet was previously exploited in 2023 for $24.23 million through a malicious approval attack. In France, physical wrench attacks now affect even non-crypto owners, with a couple attacked three times in one month at a residence formerly occupied by a crypto investor. The amount linked to violent attacks has reached $107 million in 2026, while the success rate of these attacks has dropped to 26%. Overall, over $1.2 billion has been lost in on-chain exploits since the beginning of the year.
