Bitcoin Exchange-Traded Funds See Spike In Inflows Following Huge Hack

Bitcoin ETFs in the U.S. recorded their largest weekly inflow since April, attracting $850 million last week. The cash came after hackers exploited a vulnerability in Coinkite’s Coldcard wallet product, stealing an estimated $130 million from users. BlackRock’s global head of digital assets commented that investors prefer the simplicity of ETFs over managing their own crypto security. Bitcoin’s price remained flat at $63,861 over the past seven days. The funds currently manage nearly $80 billion in assets, according to Coinglass data.
