The BIP-110 fork stalled after producing only two blocks, last Saturday at block 961,632. The pseudonymous mining group Roughnecks, using Ocean’s DATUM protocol, created blocks 961,632 and 961,633 on the fork, which then remained stuck for approximately 17 hours with a gap of 111 blocks from the main chain. Only 51 out of 2,016 blocks in the previous difficulty period had signaled support for the proposal, approximately 2.53%, far below the 55% threshold required for activation. Michael Saylor and Blockstream’s Adam Back had publicly opposed it, and Ocean announced it would reimburse miners affected by this fork.
