Barça Mobile, FC Barcelona’s official mobile telecom service operated by New Era Visionary Group, is developing an in-app digital wallet using infrastructure from Wirex, Crossmint and the Stellar Development Foundation. Wirex will provide payment and card infrastructure, Crossmint will supply wallet infrastructure and user-onboarding technology, and Stellar will serve as the blockchain network layer. The partnerships were announced on August 5, with New Era CEO Ruslan Bîrlădeanu stating this is an integrated feature rather than a standalone product. The wallet will extend Barça Mobile’s current offering, which already includes travel eSIMs covering more than 200 destinations.
