FC Barcelona’s mobile telecom arm, Barça Mobile, announced on August 5, 2026 the creation of an in-app digital wallet powered by the Stellar blockchain. The wallet combines Wirex’s payment processing and card services with Crossmint’s wallet technology and user onboarding capabilities. The Wirex-Crossmint partnership, established in late 2025, sees its first major consumer deployment through this integration. Barça Mobile operates on Orange’s network under an MVNO agreement and covers over 170 countries since its launch in April 2025. The core objective is to offer faster and cheaper cross-border value transfers to app users.
