The school had been operating out of Forest City, a largely unfinished mega-development in Johor, Malaysia, using a model called ‘Learn, Burn, Earn, Fun’. A deliberately vague social media video about the school’s exact location sparked public scrutiny and regulatory attention, leading to the license revocation. The new Kazakhstan agreement includes provisions for hackathons, conferences, and innovation programs, leveraging Astana’s International Financial Centre which operates under common law.
