Amazon Web Services announced integrations between its AWS Continuum security service and three AI coding tools: Anthropic’s Claude Code, OpenAI’s Codex, and AWS’s own Kiro. The announcement, made at Black Hat USA 2026, embeds real-time vulnerability detection directly into the development environment. AWS Continuum, which entered preview on June 17, 2026, operates as an AI agent-driven service designed to manage code vulnerabilities within customer-defined guardrails. The design partners currently testing these integrations in preview mode include Capital One, MongoDB, Rivian, and Robinhood. AWS is positioning this as an infrastructure-based security feature rather than an AI feature, extending support beyond its own tools and Anthropic to include OpenAI’s Codex.
